The symposium, which is free and open to the public, will feature local experts speaking on senior safety. Anne Harley, a physical therapist with Advocate Aurora Health, will be speaking on falls prevention, the number one cause of death and injury for Wisconsin seniors. Gary Speth, detective with the Ozaukee County Sherriff’s Department, will discuss specific crimes in the county that target seniors. And, Kathy Glaser, Aging and Disability Resource Center Dementia Care Specialist, will discuss Silver Alerts to help find lost seniors and the Ozaukee Safety Registry to help vulnerable seniors who may become lost or confused to find their way home.
