Collecting Her: Women from the Cedarburg Art Museum's Permanent Collection

In a recent survey of museum collections, it was found that among the represented artists only 13% were female even though 70% of bachelor of fine arts degrees are earned by women.

The Cedarburg Art Museum permanent collection is composed of 16% female artists and this exhibition is meant to celebrate these spectacular women and their works as well as highlight the disparity in collections and exhibitions across the country.
