Description

Join us as Bridge the Divide begins our lecture series “From Good Will to Good Work” which will take us from our isolated, homogeneous suburbs to equitable, interconnected place for all of us to thrive, as global citizens, together. These four, interactive sessions will allow for self-reflection and interpersonal discussions about unconscious bias, perceptions vs. lived experiences, facilitating cross-cultural relationships, and countering prejudice and fear.

Lecture #1 - Tues, Apr 30th 6 pm - Unconscious Bias: Seeing Our Own Blind Spots -exploring how our normal brains serve as effective pattern-making machines that unconsciously “prime” us for stereotyping – whether we like it or not. https://bridge_the_divide_from_good_will_to_good_work.event… (Suggested Donations of $10.00 are appreciated)

Dr. Fran Kaplan and Reggie Jackson of Nurturing Diversity Partners, are nationally-known educators/speakers/consultants that will provide expertise in anti-bias and experiential pedagogy, historical literacy and cultural competency. The lectures will also feature Sherrill Knezel of Meaning Marks LLC , specializing in live graphic recording for visual literacy - her images will capture the essence of our journey “From Good Will to Good Work.”
